Coral Courier and outside AI services
Draft revised October 26, 2026. Publication is pending legal/provider review and verification against the deployed service. This draft does not certify compliance or release readiness.
Your Coral Courier Agent uses outside AI services to understand and answer you. The app asks for your permission before anything is sent to them.
Who receives what
| Who | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| OpenAI | Generates your Agent's replies and its voice on Calls, turns speech into text, searches the web, and checks content for abuse (moderation) | Your messages, photos and files; your voice in Voice Messages and Calls; what your Agent reads on your iPhone and connected accounts, when you allow it |
| Cloudflare | Hosts your Agent and stores your data. Its Workers AI also turns a Voice Message into text when OpenAI can't | Everything the service stores; your voice in a Voice Message OpenAI couldn't transcribe |
The table must be checked against the providers actually selected for Cloud, voice and connected services before publication. Current provider data use, retention and exceptions remain review gates. This draft does not certify a universal 30-day provider limit. A self-hosted Hermes Instance has its own operator and provider choices.
Voices on Calls are AI-generated. Your Agent is an AI and can be wrong; check anything important.
Your choice
- Nothing goes to OpenAI until you tap Agree on the consent screen after you sign in.
- If we add or replace a provider, the app asks you again before anything is sent to the new one.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time in Settings › Account › Withdraw AI Consent. Your Agent cannot work without it, so it stops until you agree again. Your account and history stay.
